Aaron and Casey:
I received a call from Kristy Wilson this evening, and believe you’ve made a terrific decision if she is joining your team. Working with Kristy in challenging conditions was an absolute pleasure, and after that experience she has become a friend.
My career has followed multiple, parallel tracks all my life. I have been CIO of a local biotech manufacturer for many years, and am accustomed to complex regulatory environments. In tandem, I have been a Chattanooga radio broadcaster since I was 19 years old. I departed that career full time in 2021, voluntarily, and maintain an excellent working relationship with WDEF/WDOD Radio. My career in hospitality began in 2007 when I purchased two extended stay properties at the foot of Lookout Mountain, operated them for 14 years then sold to a developer. I then began managing properties for others, and can acclimate to any brand environment or PMS rapidly. I believe the GM sets the tone for operational and STR success. The GM must do the personal work to assure assets perform at peak competitiveness considering building condition, market realities and comp set. Naturally, I want any property I operate to achieve its fair share and more. I am very comfortable taking full control of properties sight-unseen in any task force scenario. I can pass any level of bond, background or credit history requirement for any asset owner. My intent is to operate any asset at maximum economy, with particular attention given to labor, consumables (waste/linen) and clever problem-solving.
Kristy has shared you may need task force assistance, perhaps on short notice. I am completing a web development / marketing project I’ve taken on for a new apartment complex near Atlanta, and will finish that project late next week.
I genuinely enjoy the hospitality industry, and understand tight margins under which a management company must operate. My kids are grown and my home is thankfully mortgage-free. If I am considered, quality of the work and a pathway for asset success are larger priorities for me if a salary offer is reasonable.
Most sincerely,
Jason M. Kibby
